Chikodi Taluka Education Society is established in the year 1919 by ardent educational lovers of this area under the Leadership of Srimanth Ramachandra Dhondo Kulkarni of Chikodi.

Smt. A. A. Patil Womens College, Chikodi is established in the year 1986 to empower girls in the field of education.
Our Vision is infusing the knowledge with uproar among women to dispel & nourish
them for excellence.

Our Mission is Provide a strong edifice to students for the attainment of women empowerment.

And Our Goal is To impart quality education to socially, economically backward & rural lady students in their own environment by imbibing values for the empowerment.

Chikodi is busy township in north of Belagavi District of Karnataka. Our college is situated on the State Highway of Nippani-Mahalingapure Road, Opp. to KSRTC Bus Stand. We are proud to say ours is first institution which is set-up to provide education exclusively to women in Belagavi District.

Our college was first affiliated to Karnataka University, Dharwad and now one of the prestigious institutions Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women University, Vijayapur. Our college with graded B+ in the year 2017 by NAAC.

In the year of our establishment our students strength was 85, now our students’ strength has gone up to 865. We offer Arts & Commerce courses with Computer Education that lead to BA & B.com. Degrees. Extra-curricular activities are encouraged by our N. S. S. Units, Physical Education Dept.

Since beginning, we have experienced academics as teachers and Directors, we have 05 Asst. Professors and

08 Associate Professors. Among these 06 are Ph. D., holders and most of them have published papers in International & National Journals & presented papers in Seminars on National Level. We have 02 women teachers with Ph.D., degree holders.

Since inception our achievements in academic field is glorious, we have 08 No. of Ranks to the University till this date.
We have excellent main building with 11 rooms for lectures and with smart boards and computer labs. Our library has 18500 volumes. Students get other Monthly, Fortnightly, Weekly & other periodicals in English, Marathi, Kannada and Hindi language to read. Each student gets at least three text-books to read at home for one academic year. And building is situated on State High-way of Nippani-Mahalingpur.

We have excellent and vast play-ground to sustain and improve physical fitness of rural women and we are happy to note that our students show great interest and participate in National, State Level sports meets and achieved levels 81 University Blues.

We publish Hand-Book and Magazines that contain students’ writings and other relevant information.

We have hostel facility for 25 students with indoor game and library facility. Hostel is situated in the college campus behind main college building. Very unique feature is that Town’s Police Station is situated on other side of the road.
With all our good wishes we strive to provide all sided development of girls’ personality and make girls honorable partners in building strong, modern, new India.
